Blueberry Treats

It’s Friday and what doesn’t suit better than something sweet and good. Something to serve with the coffee, tea or like we say in Sweden…fika 🙂

I didn’t know what to call these small treats in the beginning, but Blueberry Treats fit pretty good so it had to be that name 🙂

Blueberry Treats

8-9 st

  • 1 paket smördeg
  • 2-3 dl blåbär (fräscha eller tinade)
  • 5 dl marsán/vaniljkräm

3 ingredient blueberry treats that you can make quickly. Great to serve with a cup of coffee or tea.

Servings: 8 treats
Author: Jeanette - Take A Sweet Bite
  • 1 package puff pastry
  • 1,2 cups blueberry (fresh or defrosted)
  • 2,1 cups vanilla curd
  1. Preheat the oven to 175 Celsius (347 F) and get a muffin pan.

  2. Roll out the pastry and take a small dessert bowl or a smaller round form that you can press out small pastry plates with. You will make small cups in the muffin pan with the pastry, so it's important that you get pastry up on the sides as well.

  3. Add in the bottom a little blueberry.

  4. Take a tablespoon and add 1-2 spoons of vanilla curd over the blueberries in each pastry cup.

  5. On top add more blueberries.

  6. Let the treats bake in the middle of the oven for 35-40 minutes. You see when the pastry on the sides has a nice golden color, then they are done.

Recipe Notes

I'm not sure how well this works by using paper muffin cups. You can try if you don't have a muffin pan, but I recommend to use a muffin pan as it is much more steady.

Snickers Squares

Hope your weekend has been good so far. We are having a nice calm family weekend! Love when I can have the weekend off and be home with my family. Sadly, I have this work schedule where I work every other weekend. I really don’t like working like that, but I have to as long as I still working with what I do which is with elderly.

I like to bake time from time and I thought it would be nice to add the category, Bake Recipes on the blog. Cause I think there are many mamas out there who enjoy baking, right? ??

Let’s kick off this Sunday with a lovely, nice and sweet recipe for Snickers Squares. This is great to bake when you crave for something sweet, need something for the family game/movie night, for your kids birthday or it’s an easy recipe to bake with your kids.

Snickers Squares
Servings: 25 pieces
Author: Jeanette
  • 300 grams peanut butter
  • 2 teaspoon powder sugar
  • 0.6 cup sugar
  • 0.8 cup light syrup
  • 2.5 cups rice krispies
  • 0.7 cups corn flakes
Chocolate Layer
  • 400 grams dark chocolate
  1. Melt butter, sugar, and syrup in a saucepan. Then remove the pan from the hot plate.
  2. Crush cornflakes and mix in the saucepan. Then pour in rice krispies and stir so it all blends together.
  3. Put a baking sheet on a baking pan in the size about 22 × 30 cm (the baking pan I used is 23 × 32 cm). Then pour the batter and spread it evenly. Let it stand and cool for a while.
  4. Break the chocolate into smaller pieces and melt in a water bath.
  5. Then pour the melted chocolate over the cooled snickers batter and spread it evenly over. Put it in the fridge until the chocolate has solidified and then cut it into squares. The amount of snickers squares you get depends on how small or big you choose to do.

These are so delicious and very simple to do, so I hope you’ll try it!
